Clarendon Sixth Form College aims to inspire school leavers this autumn with a series of ‘Futures’ masterclasses that explore different professions.

With the guidance of local professionals, school leavers can find out more about progression in careers such as medicine, dentistry, law and teaching.

The first ‘Futures’ event is hosted by doctors from Tameside Hospital on Wednesday, October 18, from 5pm to 7pm.

Their presentation gives a fascinating insight into the different specialisms of medicine. By sharing their passion for their profession, the doctors highlight the wide range of skills they need to develop their careers.

Jennie Arnold, head of Clarendon Sixth Form College, said: “We are looking forward to hosting the ‘Futures’ events at Clarendon Sixth Form College this autumn. It is a great opportunity for school leavers to learn more about careers directly from professionals.

“The sessions highlight the many different career opportunities that can open up once they have started. Everyone, including families, is welcome to attend.”

The ‘Futures’ careers events this autumn also include a session on Law on Wednesday, November 15, from 5pm to 7pm and Teaching on Wednesday, December 13, from 5pm to 7pm.
