New recruits are being invited to team up with Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service and the Prince’s Trust.

The fire service is running a new Prince’s Trust Team programme from Hyde Fire Station, which will start on the 25th of September.

Young people aged between 16 and 26 are now invited to take part on the full time 12-week course, which is totally free to join.

The course involves a series of challenges designed to improve employability, such as taking part in a community project, team challenge and a team building residential.

There is also the opportunity to complete a two-week work placement and complete training exercises with the firefighters.

Organisers are also appealing to groups and centres who may benefit from the project to get in touch.

If you have a room that needs a makeover or a garden that needs rejuvenating, or if you would like the young people to work with a group and share skills, get in touch.

Anyone who wishes to apply for a place can contact Team Manager Emma Sercombe on 07973 966407.
