Police have launched a new ‘anti-social behaviour bus’ to provide a public presence in Tameside.

Officers from GMP Tameside South will be patrolling the Hyde, Hattersley and Hollingworth areas for the foreseeable future in the van.

They will deal with any incidents involving youths causing annoyance and are warning potential trouble-causers that positive action will be taken.

GMP Tameside South also advise parents to ensure they know where their children are and what they are doing, warning that any youngsters who come in to contact with police could be arrested and parents may be fined and, in some instances, face eviction.

Police are also reminding residents across Tameside that anti-social behaviour can be reported by ringing 101, or 999 in an emergency, and also through Tameside Council by clicking here.

Alternatively, tenants of New Charter, Contour, Peak Housing and Your Housing can contact their housing associations through details on their respective websites.

Any incidents can be also be submitted anonymously through independent charity Crimestoppers by clicking here.
