Police are growing increasingly concerned for the whereabouts of a missing man from Stalybridge.

The family of 37-year-old Gareth Jones are extremely worried and, despite extensive enquiries, police haven’t been able to find him so far.

Gareth is white, 6ft 3ins, of slim build and with dark blond short hair.

He was last known to be wearing jeans and a t-shirt at around 10am on Thursday morning (August 3).

Inspector Stuart Alger, from GMP’s Tameside borough, said: “It is completely out of character for Gareth to go missing and his family are sick with worry.

“Our officers are doing everything they can to find him but we also need the public’s help by reporting any sightings of him.

“If you have seen Gareth, or someone matching his description, then please contact us. Any information could really help us find him to make sure he is safe and well.”

Anyone with any information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 1428 of 4 August 2017.
