Jamie Peacock MBE, will be coming to Ashton-under-Lyne this Friday 28th July for the launch of a new Health and Wellbeing College campus.

The college hopes to offer an inspirational environment for people to improve their health and wellbeing through the range of courses on offer, with an all-day event from 10am to 4pm on Friday for a chance to have a look around the college.

All courses at the college are free and designed to support people to recognise their potential and make the most of their talents and resources, through self-management; covering a range of physical and mental health conditions and practical skills.

This includes dealing with anxiety and depression, increasing confidence, improving sleep, controlling anger, setting goals and managing finances.

The event will feature activities and talks from former England and GB Rugby League captain, Jamie Peacock MBE, along with former students and college staff. There’s also the chance to find out more about the college and the recovery-focused courses available.

The college is open to anyone who lives in Bury, Oldham, Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale, Tameside and Glossop, and Stockport.

Some courses will also be offered at bases in Bury and Stockport. More information is available at: http://hwcollege.penninecare.nhs.uk/
