Ashton United have confirmed the signing of striker Yaw Gyimah ahead of the forthcoming season in the Evo-Stik Premier Division.

The striker joins the club with a wealth of experience, having previously played for Curzon Ashton, Skelmersdale United and Northwich Victoria.

Describing the move as a ‘dream come true’, Gyimah said: “I’m really excited to be in a great club like Ashton United.

“I’m going to give 100% support to my team mates so we can move the club forward.

“I am going to go all out to help the club go up. I can’t do that alone, but with the help of my team mates hopefully we can go up”.

The striker joins a growing list of players to have signed for the club, including Matthew Chadwick and Ryan Crowther, who scored more than 25 goals between them last season.
