Despite preparing to represent England at a pageant in Las Vegas next month, a Hyde beauty queen is letting it get in the way of her charity fundraising.

Jeni Mulholland booked her ticket to the States by winning the Miss Congeniality Award, Miss Charity Award in her age group and the overall Miss Charity prize at the Miss Diamond UK Pageant in Bournemouth back in May.

That charity work that made her successful has been continuing apace with a fun day at the King William Pub, Newton last weekend. There was a fun bus, bouncy castle, face painting and much more. Hundreds attended in the sunshine to raise a fantastic £250 for the mental health charity MIND.

Jeni flies to Las Vegas on July 27th but just twelve days earlier, she’s hosting a much anticipated music event in Stalybridge.

Nine RnB, hip-hop and baseline artists have come together for a fantastic line-up at Cheeky Tiki’s. Raptor Warhurst, Bison Briggs, Younganz Fusion, Black Jack UK, Kilo Kurtis, Seven Spherez, Pavia Ward and Jermaine Jones will all be taking to the stage to help Jeni raise yet more vital funds for MIND.

“This is so exciting,” Jeni said. “This is an event with the most talented artists. It’s so me, it’s my music, I can’t wait.”

She continued: “Everybody has been so helpful. Everyone who’s been pitching in, including the acts, are doing it for free so we can raise as much money for MIND as possible. The nine artists will also be collaborating with each other on the night. They’re so talented, I really can’t wait.”

Tickets for the event, which is on from 9pm-2.30am are just £10 with all proceeds going to MIND. You can book yours by calling Jeni on 07415 315589.
