Elsewhere, Ashton’s U16s have worked hard all season with a small squad and finishing as runners up in the Plate is an excellent achievement as it puts them amongst the top ten teams in the County.
The U16s will be joining this years U17s Colts to form Senior Colts next season, and new players are welcome to join in.
Ashton’s Senior Colts had their Awards night on Friday and 22 players signed off their time together in style:
Coaches Player of the Season: Alex Meredith
Most Improved Player: Jae Manwaring
Players Player of the Season was a tie between Josh Fish and Conan Bligh with James Bower coming third.
Top try scorer: Joe Worthington.
Allen Bower received a shirt signed by all players to mark the end of his 10 seasons coaching the side.
