Stalybridge St Paul’s resumed their season following last week’s ‘break’ with a satisfying victory vs Chapel.

Batting first, opener Adam Harwick found some form as he hit 42 to give Stalybridge a base to build on. Joe Robinson helped steady the ship after a brief wobble by hitting 35 as Stalybridge were made to battle to post a below-par 159.

Gary Sandiford led the bowling superbly as he picked up regular wickets, ending with figures of 4 for 42. Chris Fish provided the backup with 3 wickets for 19 as Chapel were bowled out for 108.

Stalybridge seconds were involved in a nail-biting 1 wicket win vs Chapel as they chased down 90. James Beswick picked up 5 wickets

This week Stalybridge 1st play at home to Compstall with the seconds going to the same opponents.
