New Charter Homes is happy to sponsor the shirts for the Denton Youth Junior under 12s boys football team as part of its Health and Wellbeing remit.

The children that attend the sessions at Denton Youth Junior Football Club are able to keep fit, develop their technical footballing ability and agility, and improve their decision making and team building skills, whilst learning to respect one another.

Team Manager, John Hampson explains that there are 30 teams playing at Denton Youth Junior Football Club ranging in age from 6 to over 21s.  There are teams for both boys and girls and every team trains weekly and plays matches both home and away in the Tameside Sport International League, usually on a Saturday morning.

Deputy Chief Executive of New Charter Group, Tony Powell said: “Recent reports have shown that Tameside’s levels of health and wellbeing are lower than the national average, so it’s important that sports clubs like Denton Youth Junior FC encourage kids to get active from a young age and carry healthy behaviours with them as they grow. It’s for this reason we are more than happy to do our bit and sponsor their shirts.”

For more information on the sessions that are available, please contact the club office, Martin Fields, Denton, M34 6HE.
