John Slaughter missing from a Leeds Hospital now possibly in Stalybridge.

West Yorkshire Police are urgently appealing for information to trace a Wakefield man who may have been in the Stalybridge area.

Leeds District CID would like to speak to anyone who has seen or has information about  59 -year-old John Slaughter  who was reported missing on Monday.

John from the village of Horbury between Leeds and Wakefield, was last seen leaving St James Hospital in Leeds at about 6.38pm on Monday and authorities are very concerned for his welfare.

The 59-year-old, is described as white male, medium build, 5ft 10, with brownish/grey hair in a shaved style.

He was last seen wearing navy jeans, hospital gown and a red jacket.

Officers believe he may well have recently been in Stalybridge.

Detective Inspector Phil Jackson of Leeds District CID, said: “We are very concerned for John’s welfare as he may be in need of medical assistance and would urge him or anyone who has information to contact us.

“A number of enquiries have been ongoing around St James Hospital area in Leeds, at John’s address in Horbury and we are continuing to search for him in both locations as well as the Greater Manchester Police area.

“Anyone who has heard from John or has any information at all is asked to contact Leeds District CID at West Yorkshire Police on 101 referencing log number 1515 of May 15.”
