Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire has continued its longstanding relationship with Glossop North End Juniors AFC, by making a £550 donation to its U11 girls team.

The money will be used to purchase a new kit for team, which has seen rapid growth in recent years from six to twenty-eight registered players.

Natalie Mills, Vice Chairperson of the Glossop NE AFC Juniors, comments: “The team has expanded so quickly that we’ve simply not had the resources to supply a kit to our new players, so we are very grateful to Taylor Wimpey for helping us solve this problem.

“The girls love their new kits , look the part , play the part. Hopefully, this will inspire them to continue playing at their already excellent level and bring us luck in the forthcoming season.”

Glossop North End AFC Juniors is a Charter Standard Community Club, affiliated to Derbyshire County FA.  It runs 38 teams for 420 boys, girls and young adults in age groups U7 to U21, as well as a Saturday Soccer School, open to boys and girls aged 4-12 years.

Anne Bagshaw, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire, adds: “Last year we made a £400 donation to provide the under 10s team with new kits, so we were only too happy to continue our relationship with the club and make a further donation.

“Our Laurel View development is only around the corner from the Glossop NE AFC Junior’s home ground, so we hope to see many residents on the side lines cheering them on soon.”

Laurel View features a range of three- to five-bedroom homes situated in the idyllic Glossop countryside, perfect for those looking for a rural setting while still being close to essential amenities.

Natalie concludes: “We look forward to continuing our relationship with Taylor Wimpey for a long time to come, and would welcome any Laurel View residents looking to join one of our teams.”
