A man has been arrested after bomb disposal officers were called to his house in Droylsden.

54-year-old David Harvey has been charged with possession of an explosive with intent to endanger life, section 4A public order offence (intentionally causing harassment, alarm or distress) and abstracting electricity.

He appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court yesterday. The incident is not related to last week’s terror attack in Manchester.
