Stalybridge Celtic Whites U12’s lifted the East Manchester JFL Primary Cup on Sunday 30th April at a packed Tameside Stadium.

In a tense all action game against previously undefeated Delamere Rangers, Stalybridge came from a goal down to draw 1-1 with a goal from Sam Taylor after a terrific shot from Joseph Aston had rebounded back off the bar.

With no extra time played the game went straight to penalties where Stalybridge came out on top with a 4-2 victory after keeper Lewis Brown saved 2 of the Delamere spot kicks. Stalybridges penalties were expertly dispatched by Roman Boss, Jjoseph Aston, Henry Rutter and Niall Owen.

A great team effort by all the players ensured the first piece of silverware is in the bag.  The boys now focus on their next big challenge, a County Cup Final on Sunday 14thMay against Reddish North End at the Platt Lane Complex.
