Car flipped in Ashton crash

A car was left on its roof following a crash in Ashton town centre on Sunday.

The two-car smash occurred just after 6pm on Stamford Street, close to the junction with Oldham Road.

One of the cars had rolled over, but all four occupants were able to exit the car without assistance.

Two fire engines from Stalybridge and Ashton and a Technical Response Unit were dispatched to deal with the incident.

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue confirmed that they were called to an incident at 6:08PM and that they treated four casualties at the scene.
