Oldham Rugby League Club has been hit by two break-ins at the club’s Whitebank office in 48 hours.

Thieves broke in overnight Wednesday and made off with several items, including computers, radios and wines and spirits.

They returned on Friday night, got in again and, among other things, stole playing kit and a quantity of players’ leisure wear and training kit.

They also caused damage by breaking into the referees’ changing room.

Police are investigating and the club is offering a reward for any information that leads to arrests.

“I’m sick of it — to the back teeth,” said club chairman Chris Hamilton.

The ground has been broken into on numerous occasions since Roughyeds moved into Whitebank in 2010.

Oldham claimed a 22-18 victory over Swinton on Friday – their third win of the season – but suffered an agonising 16-14 loss at Halifax on Monday.

Scott Naylor’s side travel to Featherstone  for the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup Fifth Round tie on Sunday.
