On a day of brilliant sunshine, the visitors outshone their hosts in an afternoon of cultured football.

Droylsden started brightly enough and opened the scoring on Four minutes with a goal from Jack Rudge, a strike from distance which beat the keeper low to his right, Ciaran Kilheeney followed in a shot which came back off the Albion crossbar and he did what he does best on the ten minute mark, converting and making it two nil.

Droylsden’s good passing play continued after the break and on 57 minutes Adam Farrell guided a perfect header back across and in the goal giving the home keeper no chance, the cross provided by Shaun Holden from good play down the left flank. The fourth goal for Droylsden came on the 86th minute and was started by and finished by Billy Hasler Cregg. A 64th minute substitute, he took just 22 minutes to get on the scoresheet, picking the ball up on the halfway mark then moving it wide for Shaun Holden to cross and find him at the end of a driving run, all in all an impressive display by the Bloods who, on the day could and perhaps should have scored more.
