Hyde started well and controlled the majority of the play in the opening 45 minutes, hitting the crossbar twice through Paddy Miller and Janni Lipka.

Goole looked like a side who have suffered the curse of relegation, and although they toiled in the field, they struggled to get any joy with the ball, or even stay on their feet in the case of the number 11.

The second half had Oliver Ford replacing a booked Ryan Ellison and the Tigers continued their dominance of the ball and the chances, with Matthew Beadle firing off a couple of half chances, and Oliver Ford forcing a decent save from the young Goole keeper when he got off a smart shot from a Chris Sutherland pull back in the box. Darren managed to give two more Academy graduates pitch time with Louis Holt replacing Pete Boyle, and Lewis Haydock coming on for Big Khamsuk with 10 to play.

The planning for the coming season has already started. Paddy Miller & Matt Beadle have been retained for 2017-2018, and we have more good news to tell over the coming weeks.
