Hyde United striker Matt Beadle has agreed a contract extension which will see him at the club for the 2017/18 season.

Beadle joined from Colne prior to Christmas and made an instant impact at the club, scoring on his debut in the 3-1 victory at Droylsden on Boxing Day.

Having scored 34 times for 1874 Northwich during the 2015/16 season, Beadle always promised goals and he certainly delivered.

He registered 18 times for the Tigers during a four month spell.

Upon announcing the contract extension, Beadle told Hyde’s official website: “I am excited about being part of this Hyde team and believe we will challenge next season on all front.

“We have a great squad, built around a positive dressing room, great fans and a management & coaching team who will improve me as a footballer, as well as helping me to achieve my personal targets on the pitch”.

Mark Worthington, chief executive, said: “The board and management team are really pleased to secure the services of Matthew Beadle.

“He has shown what a talent he is on the pitch, scoring goals and instantly connecting with the Hyde Fans, but he is also a genuinely decent young man off the pitch and a pleasure to have associated with this great Club”.

Beadle joins defender Paddy Miller, who has also agreed a contract extension that runs until the end of next season.
