After a recent spate of bad weather, the Hyde & District Sunday League came back into life last weekend.

In the Premier Division, Charlesworth battled back from a 4-2 deficit against Blazing Rag to claim all three points with a 5-4 victory, which  keeps their title hopes alive.

In the Challenge Cup, Organ Athletic booked their place in the final after they beat Commercial FC 6-1 and will battle it out for the cup against either Shamrock or Roe Cross.

In the John Mullen Trophy group stages, Harehill Tavern claimed pub bragging rights after defeating Harehill Athletic 5-0.

In the Jack Stone Cup group stages, Roe Cross beat Brushes Rangers 5-3 and Railway were defeated 3-2 by FC Brittania.

The Hyde League are now accepting applications for the 2017/18 season.  Please contact league secretary David Brightmore on 07710 583 483 for more information.
