The Mossley based Emmaus Charity, has celebrated its twenty year association with the town by giving it and it’s people an incredible gift of four thousand pounds.

The charity’s birthday event raised the cash through sales of vintage items, furniture, clothes, bric-a-brac, café, auctions and raffle tombola.

The event  held last Saturday(March 11th) also included music from local group Good Vibrations (seen below) and stalls from craft makers and community groups.

Emmaus Mossley supports 26 formerly homeless people, providing them with a home and work in a community setting.

The charity runs a social enterprise in Mossley, selling donated and upcycled furniture, household goods and vintage wares.
