Dukinfield Town’s relegation fears have eased considerably after a 3-1 victory over Walshaw Sports on Saturday.

Despite a late change of venue to a plastic pitch , kicking off an hour early and a long haul to Bacup Town, Duki secured victory which leaves the club in 12th position with eight games of the season remaining.

Town led early on through Mitch Andrews but the hosts equalised on the hour mark through Grimes. However, goals in the last 15 from Andy Newton and Danny Parkinson sealed the 3 points for Duki and back to back wins the first time this year.

Town entertain Manchester Gregorians on Saturday and will be looking to avenge a recent 4-3 loss.
