Stalybridge Celtic manager Steve Burr is preparing for today’s National League North clash at Salford City.

In doing so, the 57-year-old will have to contend with the absence of four players who have left the club.

Striker Sefton Gonzales has opted to re-join Stockport County, winger Adam Morning has joined Evo-Stik Division One North side Colne, while Chris Baguley and Florian Da Silva have both been released.

However, the club announced yesterday (Friday) that winger Keano Deacon has joined on a permanent basis from League One outfit, Fleetwood Town.

Earlier this week, Burr signed midfielder Mathias Bakare, who scored on his debut in Celtic’s 2-1 victory over Salford City on Tuesday in the Manchester Premier Cup semi-final on Tuesday.

Goalkeeper Callum O’Neill, who also made his debut on Tuesday, has joined the club on work experience terms from Oldham Athletic, while midfielder Rob Bourne, who was cup-tied on Tuesday, has joined from Trafford.
