Glossop Cricket Club have confirmed the signings of Cole Turner and Sam Elliott for the 2017 season.

Cole, 19, initially joined the club from Dinting as a junior, before moving on to enjoy spells with Droylsden and, more recently, Thornham.

A top order batsmen, Cole returns to Glossop after spending a season with Thornham where, amongst other things, he gained valuable experience playing regular first XI cricket.

Cole is also described as an excellent fielder and returns to England full of confidence having spent the winter in Australia.

Meanwhile, Elliott joins the club from near neighbours Dinting having spent the majority of his career playing in the Derbyshire and Cheshire League.

Elliott is described as a capable right-handed batsmen and part-time off spinner. His experience of winning trophies during his time with Dinting will prove to be invaluable as Glossop look to make a charge at the Greater Manchester Premier Division title this season.
