Motorbike club raise funds for Tameside army charity

A caring charity roared off with much needed funds, thanks to the fund-raising efforts of a motorbike club.

SSAFA Tameside was overwhelmed and delighted when The BMPS British Motorcycle Preservation Society charity handed over £1,438.78.

The presentation was made in the Sycamore pub in Ashton.

The cheque was presented to SSAFA Tameside representatives Christina Howard and Maureen Hall.

Christina said: “I can’t praise the BMP enough. Our respect to all the bikers and members who, especially thanks to them, made it a very special Christmas for our needy cases.

“We salute the bikers, our unsung heroes.”
