Monday 23rd January 2017 09:01 Football Sports Posted by Mark Phillip

Dukinfield Town played their part in a seven goal thriller but a late penalty miss by Danny Parkinson proved costly on Man City’s old training ground Platt Lane, a 3g pitch.

The home side took the lead four times and Town equalised three times through Steve Korny and Jake Fenton with their first goals for the team and Danny Parkinson with a converted penalty.

The result leaves Town six points from the relegation zone and desperately need a run to pull away now.

The reserves halted a recent slide with a 6-0 triumph against the same oppostion with goals from Gus Yarwood (3), Lee Simmons, Dan Casanas and an own goal.

This weekend Town travel to AFC Monton.
