Police investigate rush hour stabbing in Hyde

Junction of Mill Lane, Haughton Green Road and Two Trees Lane which was the scene of part of the investigation into a stabbing that occurred about quarter of a mile away in Rhodes Street, Hyde.


Police have confirmed a man was stabbed in a daylight attack on Rhodes Street close to the Hyde – Haughton Green border, part of the street was later cordoned off with tape for forensic investigation.

The victim is believed to be a 37-year-old local man who was attacked at around 9 20 am this morning and was then taken to hospital, where police say he is in a stable condition.

Mill Lane was also cordoned off at the junction with Two Trees Lane and Haughton Green Road as part of the same investigation.

Police are continuing their enquiries into the incident.
