Stalybridge Celtic have signed midfielder Chris Baguley from Ashton United.

Baguley lists Oldham Athletic, FC United, Leigh Genesis, Salford City and New Mills as his previous clubs.

Baguley will once again be playing under managers Paul Phillips and Steve Halford who were previously in charge at Ashton United.

Since taking the position at Celtic in September, the managerial duo have brought in seven players from Hurst Cross, including: Jay Gorton; Adam Mather; Gary Gee; Grant Shenton; Danny Wilkins and Lee Gaskell.

Celtic have also announced the departures of strikers Andy Owens and Scott Spencer.

Owens has joined relegation rivals Altrincham – where he scored on his debut on Sunday – while Spencer has retired.
