Stalybridge Celtic host Stocksbridge Park Steels at Bower Fold tonight in an FA Trophy third qualifying round replay.

Paul Phillips and Steve Halford’s side were denied a rare league victory in the dying stages of Saturday’s clash against Boston United.

The game ended 3-3, thus leaving Celtic nine points adrift of safety.

Tonight’s opponents salvaged a replay in a 2-2 draw in the original tie on Saturday 26 November.

Stocksbridge are famously known for previously boasting no other than England and Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy.

The Steels currently occupy 12th spot in the Evo-Stik First Division South, having suffered a 2-1 loss to Basford United on Saturday.

Meanwhile, in the Evo-Stik First Division North, Hyde united host Brighouse Town at Ewen Fields.

Darren Kelly’s side suffered a 1-0 loss at Lancaster City on Saturday, leaving the Tigers without a league win in four games.

Brighouse enter the game on the back of what will undoubtedly be felt as a disappointing result against Glossop on Saturday.

Brighouse took a two goal lead against the Hillmen but were pegged back with second half goals from Ben Richardson and Sam Barnes.

Glossop are in action tonight at Stapenhill in the Derbyshire Senior Cup third round.

Mossley will be hoping to take momentum from Saturday’s victory over Ramsbottom United into tonight’s game against Bamber Bridge.

Saturday’s victory marked the first time that Mossley have won a league fixture at home this season.

Bamber enter the game on the back of a 1-0 loss to Droylsden.
