Tameside adult learners recognised at Dukinfield awards evening

Over 60 people celebrated achieving their education goals for the year at a Learner Awards Evening at Dukinfield Town Hall.

Tameside ACE (Adult and Community Education) held the event in recognition of the all the learners who passed their English, Maths, IT or Enterprise courses over 2015/16.

Learners were presented with their awards in the presence of friends and family by Executive Member for Lifelong Learning Cllr Lynn Travis and Civic Mayor Cllr Philip Fitzpatrick.

Cllr Travis said: “Congratulations to all the learners involved for their great achievements. It was a fantastic night enjoyed by all!”

Tameside Council’s Adult and Community Education offers courses for adults aged 19 and over, including people with additional needs, in employment and skills for life including Maths, English, ICT, Confidence Building, Enterprise and Job Searching.
