Flood workers who helped communities in the wake of Storm Angus, which hit Tameside last month, will be thanked for their efforts at a special gathering next week.

The Civic Mayor of Tameside, Councillor Philip Fitzpatrick, will host a reception at Dukinfield Town Hall on Monday for the council’s environmental services staff.

He will thank them for all of their hard work and tremendous efforts following the flash flooding which hit the borough on November the 21st.

Some 20 people will be officially thanked by the Mayor and Member of Tameside Council’s Executive Cabinet, Cllr Allison Gwynne.
