Stalybridge Celtic have appointed Michael Beech (pictured with Danny Pilkington) as the new General Manager.

The announcement was made on Monday evening on the fans forum by Chairman Rob Gorski.

The statement read: “I am delighted to announce that Michael Beech has decided to take up the newly formed role of General Manager of Stalybridge Celtic.

“Michael will be based in the office 5 days a week and as well as continuing with his (currently very stressful) football secretarial role, he will also take control of the financial, administrative and marketing roles too.

“I’ve said for many years that Michael will follow his grandparents on to the board and become chairman one day. This is his first step towards that goal. He is a Celtic lad through and through and has already gained experience in both finance and marketing in his early years of work. Michael is a really precocious talent and we are convinced that he will bring a dynamic, fresh new dimension to day-to-day issues within the club.

“Welcome on board buddy and the very best of luck in the new role.”

We’ll have an in-depth interview with Michael in next week’s Reporter.
