An Ashton care home is celebrating the success of its manager, who has been recognised at a prestigious awards ceremony.

Orla Adamson, of Daisy Nook House, was named as Home Manager of the Year for 2016 at the HC-One of a Kind Awards at the Hilton Hotel in Manchester.

Acknowledging colleagues who go above and beyond to deliver high quality care to residents, it was the first annual awards ceremony, which coincided with housing company HC-One’s fifth anniversary.

Orla said: “I am delighted to have received the Home Manager of the Year award, and I’d like to dedicate it to my fantastic team of HC-One colleagues at Daisy Nook House and our fabulous Residents.”

The Home Manager of the Year Award recognised someone who demonstrates a high level of expertise in managing all services of the home – and Orla was seen as a true inspiration to fellow colleagues.

Liz Whyte, HC-One’s Regional Managing Director, added: “The HC-One of a Kind Awards are about recognising and celebrating colleagues, such as Orla, who demonstrate the kindest care and the best practice that we can all learn from.

“Each and every day, HC-One staff do incredible work, and make such a difference to the lives of Residents living in our homes. I am so proud to work with such inspirational, caring and kind people.”
