The Tameside Football League produced some big scores once again last weekend.

In the Sports Tours International Division One, just one game took place between Snipe FC and Moston Athletic.

Moston entered the clash with the opportunity to overtake Bulls Head Athletic at the top of the table, but a surprising 2-1 loss denied them the chance.

Meanwhile, in Division Two, Lodge FC closed the gap on league leaders Crown Point Tavern with a 3-2 victory over Carters Arms FC.

FC Levenshulme occupy third spot following a 13-1win at home to Corporation Arms.

The defeat marked Corporation’s 10th successive loss this season.

AFC Sportsman Hyde fared little better, falling to a 10-3 loss against Cotton Tree FC.

Having lost all seven games this season and shipping 58 goals in the process, AFC Sportsman Hyde are rooted to the foot of the table.

Dom Doyle Rangers maintain their stranglehold at the top of Division Three after cruising to a 10-1 victory at Tameside Wolves FC.

Curtis Beaumont, Joel castle and Gene Hoole scored two apiece on the afternoon, while John Brennan claimed a hattrick.
Liam Hanmer pitched in with the one goal.

Astley Arms and Clarence FC shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw, while Star Inn FC and Hyde Athletic also settled for a point each in a 2-2 draw.

Oxford Inn FC claimed their second win of the season in a 7-1 victory against second bottom Newton Villa FC.

Daisyfield Rangers leapfrogged Iraq FC into third place with a 4-3 victory.
