The Tameside Football League returned with a vengeance on Sunday after Storm Angus forced a series of postponements during the previous weekend.

In the Sports Tours International Division One, Bulls Head Athletic were unable to extend their lead at the top of the table following a surprising 3-1 defeat to Old Ball FC.

Prior to the result, Old Ball had won just once in their opening eight fixtures.

Ardwick Community stay rooted to the foot of the table following a 10-3 defeat to join-leaders Snipe FC.

Bulls Head’s superior goal difference currently separates them from Moston Athletic and Snipe FC who trail in second and third respectively.

In Division Two, Crown Point Tavern maintained their grip on first spot with a comprehensive 11-1 victory over Carters Arms FC.

Lodge FC occupy second place, while FC Levenshulme stay third after inflicting more misery on bottom club AFC Sportsman Hyde in a 8-1 victory.

FC Broadhurst leapfrogged Medlock Sports into fourth spot after running out 5-4 winners.

In Division Three, Dom Doyle Rangers extended their lead at the top of the table to nine points after beating Hyde Athletic 4-2.

Bohemian Lounge maintained their grip on second place after beating Iraq FC 4-2.

Royton park occupy fourth spot after a 7-0 thrashing of Astley Arms FC, while Tameside Wolves stay rooted to the foot of the table after suffering a 7-2 defeat to Clarence FC.

Dukinfield Town rise up the table after a comprehensive 9-2 victory over second bottom Newton Villa FC.

Daisyfield Rangers beat Star Inn 4-3 to secure their place in the Fourth Round of the Challenge Cup.
