Ashton Town centre two car collision

One woman has been taken to hospital and two others were treated at the scene for minor injuries, following a collision between two vehicles at the junction of Oldham Road and Stamford Street.

Two fire engines attended to ensure there was no chance of combustion and to assist the vehicle occupants of a red Mazda 2 Sports edition and a black Audi A4 safely exit their vehicles.

Traffic was directed by emergency services and there were no hold ups as fire crews quickly cleared the damaged cars off the road.

The accident happened at around 10 am just opposite the Royal Bank of Scotland where paramedics treated the people with minor injuries, while an ambulance conveyed the injured woman to hospital.
