High flying Fylde brushed Celtic aside on a 5th November that The Celts will not want to remember. With fireworks in the air the only rockets on show came from free scoring Fylde and the extremely impressive Danny Rowe who claimed a perfect hat trick taking him to 24 goals for the season.

Celtic were against the ropes from the off, Grant Shenton being called into action to make a smart stop from Langley. A goal was imminent and it came on 13 minutes. Finley’s whizzing cross was dummied by Rowe to allow Bradley plenty of time to coolly slot the ball home. Rowe then scored a superb effort. He took the ball on the byline beat his man and let fly with an outrageously good strike. It is no surprise there are numerous league clubs looking at the hit man. Defender Williams made it 3-0 on 25 minutes when Rowe headed on a cross leaving the defender to finish much like his impressive striking team mates.

It was game set and match just after the half hour mark. Morton who was actually one of Celtic’s better players got his headed clearance wrong and it came back off the bar for that man Rowe to tap home. The home side took their foot off the gas in the second half and Celtic started to look more of a threat. Summerskill coming closest when his long range effort dipped just to late as it landed on the roof of the net.

That was as good as it got though and Rowe claimed his perfect hat trick after heading home a superb Kennedy cross. Celtic were given no chance coming into the game and that’s how it panned out. But it is not results against full time title challengers like Fylde that will determine Celtics fate come April it is games like FC United of Manchester on Saturday where they really need to find results.
