Hyde will feel bitterly disappointed to have only come away with a point on Saturday after taking the lead twice against Trafford.

The Tigers were denied their second win in the space of four days when Mitchell Bryant claimed an 87th minute equaliser for Trafford in a game that ended 2-2.

New signing Andy Bishop registered his first goal for Hyde after heading in at the back post from a Ryan Ellison cross.
Bishop joins the club having been fired as Southport manager at the end of September.

The 33-year-old has been replaced by former Stalybridge Celtic boss Steve Burr.

Hyde maintained their lead throughout the first half but were pegged back within two minutes of the restart.

Liam Brownhill’s corner found the towering presence of Lee Neville who headed home with real conviction.

With the scores level in the final ten minutes, Hyde pressed for a winner.

And it seemed as if the Tigers’ efforts had been rewarded when Big Khamsuk smashed home a loose ball inside the box in the 83rd minute.

However, just as the game was coming to a close, Trafford scraped an equaliser.

An in swinging corner to the back post was headed across the face of goal for Bryant to chest over the line.

If Hyde are to avoid similar situations, manager Darren Kelly will need to address the defensive issues from set-pieces.
