Hyde United have announced three new signings ahead of the Tameside derby against Mossley in the Evo-Stik first division north this evening.

Goalkeeper Russ Saunders joins Hyde having previously played for the club, along with spells at Wigan, Droylsden, Altrincham and, most recently, Trafford.

Harry Coates, a central defender, joins from National League North side, Bradford Park Avenue.

The 20-year-old featured for York City’s first team after progressing through the youth system.

Although he was named on the bench for the Capital One Cup game against the then Championship outfit Burnley, Harry found first team opportunities hard to come by, thus influencing a move to Harrogate Town.

He then spent time on loan with Harrogate Railway Athletic to gain more experience.

Harry signed for Bradford at the beginning of this season, having made his National League North debut for Harrogate Town against Gainsborough last season.

Danny Pilkington joins Hyde from near neighbours Stalybridge Celtic, having only signed for the club in mid-June.

The 26-year-old winger has previously played for a number of clubs, including Atherton Collieries, Kendal Town, York City and, most notably, Stockport County in League One.

Pilkington last featured for Celtic in the clubs 2-1 loss in the FA Cup at Halifax Town.
