Grandfather,David Owens is missing from his Reddish home,he is still believed to be in the area. Police are concerned because David who suffers from dementia is not able to take his medication for the disease which may leave him in a confused state.

A North Reddish Grandad  suffering from dementia  has gone missing from his home and there are concerns for his welfare.

73-year-old David Owens has been missing since Wednesday, 26 October, 2016 and his family and police are becoming increasingly worried as David will be not be able to take his medication.

David was last seen on Somerford Road in North Reddish around 2pm on Wednesday afternoon he is white, around 5ft 7ins, tall and of medium build, with short grey hair.

David is believed to be wearing grey jeans, a grey top, a thin navy blue jacket and black shoes.

There was a potential sighting of David on Wednesday 26 October 2016 by Heathcote Avenue and Alexandra Road and he may still be in that area.

Sergeant Alison Nolan-Thomas, from GMP’s Stockport borough, said: “David’s family are understandably worried about him and we are doing everything we can to find him.

“Our priority is to make sure David is safe and well and we are particularly concerned about him not being able to take his medication.

He suffers from dementia and may be in a confused state. There was a potential sighting of him yesterday but we have received no further information since.

“I would urge anyone who has seen a man matching David’s description to contact us immediately.

“If you have any information about his whereabouts please call 101.”
