A blue Fiat Punto is removed from Water Street, behind Hyde Town Hall close to MP Jonathan Reynolds constituency office.

Witnesses working nearby said they had seen the vehicle which had nearly all of it’s windows smashed in, from at least 7.30 am, they also said they noticed several ‘carrier’ type bags with unidentified contents in the vehicle interior.

A police vehicle stands by as a Fiat Punto car its windows smashed in is removed from Water Street,adjacent to Stalybridge and Hyde MP Jonathan Reynolds office

It appears police were called and maintained a presence guarding the car from around 10.30 am until it was lifted onto the tow truck and removed  at around 1 45pm.

The Tameside Reporter is working to find out if the vehicle was stolen, abandoned or suspicious.
