Ashton-based Willow Wood Hospice opens its eighth retail outlet on Monday.

The new Waterloo shop is situated at 347 Oldham Road, Ashton (just across from Farmfoods) and, like the hospice’s successful PAD department store in Stalybridge, will sell high quality pre-loved furniture as well as adult and children’s clothing, accessories and bric a brac.

It will also feature a new conservatory coffee bar selling snacks, light meals, cakes and hot and cold drinks throughout the day, seven days a week.

Alan Buckley, Retail Operations Manager for the Hospice, said: “We have wonderful support from people in our community, and thanks to them, get an enormous number of donations daily, which has enabled us to open such a convenient shopping experience, with free onsite car parking.”

There will be a special opening day celebration, with free samples from our coffee shop menu being served throughout the day.

Kellie Moulton, Oldham Road Shop Manager, said: “I’m looking forward to welcoming people through our doors.”

Opening hours will be 9am-4pm Monday to Saturday and 11am-3pm on Sunday.

Willow Wood are still looking for volunteers to join the Waterloo shop team – if you can help call in to and talk to Kellie, or ring Mandy McDermott the Community and Hospice Volunteer Manager on (0161) 330 1100.
