Tameside Real Ale Festival 2016

Festival

Real ale lovers can raise a glass for cheer and charity when the Tameside Beer Festival 2016 comes to town this week.

Organised this year by Tameside Rotary, the festival will once again take place in The Civic Hall in Stalybridge this Friday and Saturday.

The event goes on from noon until 11pm on each day.

There will be no less than 36 real ales on offer to taste, all priced at £3 a pint, plus a choice of ciders and expertly selected wines from Carham Wine.

Live music will be provided by ‘Inside Job’ (Urban Myth) on the Friday from 8pm and on the Saturday from 5pm by Tameside Community Voices and then Danny Maddocks at 8pm.

There will also be singing and dancing throughout the afternoons on both days. Food will be available with pies from Carr’s the Bakers and Delights of India.

All proceeds raised from the event will go to the Tameside Macmillan Unit appeal, the NSPCC and Tameside Rotary’s local charities.

Tune into Tameside Radio 103.6FM on Friday afternoon when the Mayor of Tameside Cllr Philip Fitzpatrick arrives at 3pm for our reports from the day.
