Two local dance schools have taken up an exciting opportunity through Tameside Cultural Services to get involved in a prestigious workshop with English National Ballet (ENB).

Students from Kirsten’s Dance Academy in Mossley and The Sarah England School of Dance in Stalybridge will take part in the session tomorrow (Friday), which will involve exploring the ballet Giselle.

The workshop is part of the ‘Dialogues with Giselle’ community learning and engagement programme to celebrate the main ENB production of Giselle, which will premiere in Manchester on 27 September.

The project forms part of the Manchester International Festival.

Tameside Council Cultural Services Education Manager Tracy Webster said: “This is an amazing opportunity for young dancers in Tameside to work with ENB professional dance and music artists and I hope they enjoy and are inspired by the workshop.”
