Former Audenshaw School rugby star, Jack Johnson played a leading role in the 26-22 victory for the Warrington Wolves over Catalans on Saturday evening.

Johnson provided a decisive try saving tackle in the first half to prevent an otherwise certain score for the Dragons and just minutes later added a key pass to contribute to the Wolves’ third score.

The Perpignan side responded brilliantly in the second half to take a 20-18 lead but their English visitors won the game in the dying minutes with former Wigan junior, Ben Currie grabbing the final try.

The game was featured on Sky Sports and marks another great accomplishment of another Audenshaw rugby product, one of 26 to progress into the professional ranks in the 6 years.
