Little treasures were able to participate in a treasure hunt at King George the Fifth Playing Fields.

The event was put on by the park Friends (FoKGVPF) as one of their Wednesday Holiday Fun Clubs.

More than 20 children enjoyed the event which involved the youngsters answering 20 questions about King George’s (with a little help from their parents).

FoKGVPF volunteers Pat Kent and Ian Screen totted up the scores while Molly Dean and her volunteers provided refreshments.

Other Wednesday fun days included a mini Olympics and a dough day.

Tameside’s theatre in the park also saw a performance of Treasure Island staged in the park, with many families attending to enjoy the show with their picnics.
