Fire engulfs Mottram terrace in early morning fire drama

Occupants of Bardsley Close, in Mottram, escaped from serious injuries as fire damaged their mid terrace house in the early hours of Monday morning.(22 August)
One occupant a male adult was treated by paramedics at the scene for smoke inhalation.
Three fire engines from Gorton, Hyde and Staybridge attended the incident and used breathing apparatus and smoke extraction equipment to tackle the blaze
The fire crews that were called out just after 2.00 am in the morning, fought the fire for over an hour, extinguishing the flames and then ensuring that there was no chance of re-ignition or danger to adjoining properties.
