A team from Tesco took time off from the Glossop store to spend an afternoon at Hadfield’s Oakford Manor Residential Home.

They arrived with cream cakes, biscuits and hot drinks, for a few hours of general chat, dominoes, jigsaws and sewing.

Tesco’s Hannah Ashton said: “We also took our guide dog that works with one of our colleagues Josh, which the residents adored.

“Half of our group were outside with two residents helping with the gardening, potting new plants, which included a beautiful rhododendron bush, planted in memory of one of the former residents who had sadly passed away.”

Hannah added: “At Tesco Glossop we aim to build strong relationships within our community, helping out wherever we can.

“It was a great success and all the colleagues and residents had a really good day.

“If you think we could help you in anyway then please pop in to Glossop Tesco.”
