Robbery at Glossop Co-op Travel

Police are investigating a robbery at 1:20 this afternoon at the Co-operative Travel in Glossop town centre.

Police say two men wearing dark clothing and balaclavas went into the High Street West shop and demanded money.

They got into the Currency Exchange part of the agency and stole a quantity of money.

It’s believed they made their escape in a silver Mercedes Benz car.

Police cannot say at this stage if the money was in a variety of currencies.

It has not been revealed if any weapons were used, but it is not thought that anyone was hurt.

Detectives investigating the robbery want to hear from anyone who witnessed it, or saw suspicious activity before it took place.

They also want to hear from anyone who saw the  car before or after, or know the people responsible for the offence?
