Governors, staff and pupils at St John Fisher Primary School in Haughton Green dedicated their ‘Race for Life’ event to celebrate the life of their very own deputy head teacher, Charlotte Conlon.

As previously reported Miss Conlon sadly passed away, aged 32, on Saturday, May 21, after a short battle with a rare form of cancer.

The school’s ‘Race for Life’ therefore provided an opportunity for the school to come together in her memory.

Pupils ran around the school to raise funds for Cancer Research, and also created a display celebrating the deputy head teacher’s life,  with the event raising a grand total of £6,838.
